Ideally situated in the heart of Petersfield, Jigsaw Montessori Nursery provides quality childcare for babies and children between the ages of four months and five years, in a friendly, caring setting.
Since opening in 1996, we have established ourselves as one of Petersfield's leading childcare providers. The nursery's founder Belinda Dewey is an NNEB trained professional with more than 30 years' experience. Belinda prepares and serves a wide array of tasty, nutritious meals for the children each day. She is supported by a capable, experienced team; each member of staff has worked at the nursery for eight years or more.
Our baby unit and the main nursery itself are housed under one roof, allowing children of various ages to learn, play and interact with each other. It's our aim to provide a positive, open environment that is conducive to early learning.
Following our last Ofsted inspection, we were pleased to receive a 'Good' rating. The report noted the positive relationships children had formed, both with staff and their peers.
Following the principles of the Montessori method of learning, teachers ensure each child is happy and settled and introduce them to the activities available, before taking a step back, allowing them to partake in play and learning independently.
At Jigsaw Montessori Nursery, we follow the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) framework, encouraging children to develop their communication and language skills, whilst supporting their early physical, emotional and social development.
